My name is Trisha Ann Cooper and I am the founder of GraduAge Academy, an online tutoring business. I am a Georgia certified math and science teacher. I hold a B.S. Degree in Forensic Science from the “Unsinkable” Albany State University and a M.S. Degree in Forensic Studies from Stevenson University. Needless to say, teaching was not my first choice when it came to a career. In fact, I would laugh when my high school peers and family members would tell me that I needed to be a teacher. I would simply respond with, "You need a lot of patience to be a teacher, and patience is what I do not have!"

Little did I know, patience would be worked in me over the years and despite how hard I tried to avoid it, teaching always seemed to just come so naturally to me. So, in 2011, I finally made the transition to become a teacher, and my journey has been anything but linear. I have taught reading, language, science, math and GED Test Prep spanning across public school, Adult Education, and Job Corps. My students have ranged in age from 11-year-old middle schoolers all the way up to a 71-year-old adult!! In fact, that’s how the name “GraduAge” came to be--- from my desire to want to help students of any age graduate and not just academically, but in the way they think about their own ability to learn as well. I am excited and forever humbled for the opportunity to impact the lives of students beyond the four corners of a classroom. Teaching is not just my passion; it is my calling. I know in my heart I was born on this earth to teach.
