Greetings,
My name is Trisha Ann Cooper and I am the founder of GraduAge Academy, an online tutoring company. I am a Georgia certified math and science teacher. I attended the "Unsinkable Albany State University" in Albany, GA where I received my B.S. Degree in Forensic Science. I later went on to receive my M.S. Degree in Forensic Studies from Stevenson University in Maryland. Needless to say, teaching was not my first choice when it came to a career. In fact, I would laugh when my high school peers and family members would tell me that I needed to be a teacher. I would simply respond with, "You need a lot of patience to be a teacher, and patience is what I do not have!"
Little did I know, patience would be worked in me over the years and despite how hard I tried to avoid it, teaching always seemed to just come so naturally to me. So, in 2011, I finally made the transition into the teaching profession and my journey has been anything but linear. I have taught reading, language, science, math and GED Test Prep spanning across public school, Adult Education, and a federally funded at-risk youth program. My students have ranged in age from 11-year-old middle schoolers all the way up to a 71-year-old adult!! In fact, that’s how the name “GraduAge” came to be--- from my desire to want to help students of any age graduate and not just academically, but in the way they think about their own ability to learn as well. I am excited and forever humbled for the opportunity to impact the lives of students beyond the four corners of a classroom. Teaching is not just my passion; it is my calling. I know in my heart I was born on this earth to teach.

It can be challenging for a student to get the individual help he or she may need in a class of 25+ students. Naturally when a student “feels” like they are being ignored, they often shut down or resort to copying their peer’s answers. Review Missed Concepts
We believe learning is a lot like catching a cold. Everybody doesn’t get sick at the exact same time. Colds spread gradually. Even though students may learn something at the same time, it doesn’t mean they are all processing the information at the same time and as a result can fall further and further through the classroom cracks. Tutoring can address and correct these challenges as they occur which can ensure your child has mastered the skills needed to pass assessments.
